While I was in the states Christmas of 2011 -
So I went to the store with my mom(LarryandConnie Blunt), and she asked me what I needed for my dessert.
I responded with Cocoa (in English), then within a second I thought "No that's not the word."
So I said Cocoa in Dari. (which is pronounce Kah- Kow)
Then I stopped, we looked at each other with this questioning empty stare for another second.
So I said..."which word is it?"
In which case, she confirmed with "The first one."
Then I proceeded to explain ...
"I have been using the English word calling our uncle Cocoa all year because it's the Dari word for uncle, but the second word is the word for the English Cocoa in Dari...
*Pause*
and it doesn't mean anything in English...."
