Today we had a local lady over to visit.
It is tradition to serve tea or Chai when they come to visit. You always, always, always make sure they have chai.
So I proceeded to ask her is she wanted more chai (in Dari), and it is suppose to sound something like this...
'Dega chai mekArIn?' (literally, More Chai will you drink?)
and what came out was...
'cheggai...' (hum, well a mixture of the first two words)
and we just laaaauuuuggggghhhheeeeddddd and laughed...
....
and laughed some more.
(oh and she didn't want any more chai)
