New Year, New Land

So yeah... about me :)... Well, if you have been keeping up with my on FB then you know I finished my 2 years working as a Cultural Program Coordinator, may or may not have realized I was in Istanbul, Turkey. My blogs has been at the bottom of my priorties lists as you can possibly tell. I LOVE to tell people about stuff that's happening, but I HATE to have to sit down and write it all out.

Can someone hire someone to do this for me?

Just kidding.

Maybe...

However, now have started job still within Central Asia area but now in another country. I am working logistics here for a humanitarian organization which means I will do more 'office' type stuff which basically means I am in charge of all the Transportation booking, Vehicle and housing databases.

Wow? Yeah, wow. Just a tad bit different than my other job...

Yeah, I know. It A LOT different from my last job.

K is my roommate and handle some logistics stuff but also does a lot with the projects we have in and around the city. She is really great at it too since she has already been in country for 2 years (or FOREVER as she sometimes puts it... and she is going to yell at me for saying that on here). So I get to tag along and see all the work that goes on.

Things are going well here. I just celebrated my 4 week mark! Wow, and I missed it... haha

Just realizing that I missed my one month mark. How sad!

Well, HAPPY ONE MONTH TO ME!

It is an adjustment for sure. There are pros and cons of course. Some moments are frustrating because it isn't like Turkey, and then other moments are great because it is not like Turkey. (if that even makes sense.)

I have had 2 weeks of Lanuage lessons so far. It is only 3 times a week for 2 hours each time. Between lessons, study, and the other work stuff it tends to keep me fairly occupied. The lessons are going really well considering all things. We are doing language here a lot different than I did my turkis. Lots of listening for the first couple of weeks... then maybe some speaking... storying etc. But I really wouldn't do it any other way!

I am still learning something new every day and slowing getting adjusting.

Stay tuned in for more short posts about different stories and photos.
