and those days are hard, really hard... especially for me: the 'do-er', the 'busy body', the 'always has a booked schedule', the 'always has something to fix or lead or take care of', something to 'run or lead or take charge of'
The enemy comes and slyly take hold of a toe, then weave around your foot, then up your leg, until you are completely wound and you wondered how you managed to not notice until you are half tied up! Sometimes I am so at a lose of what to do with whatever I what to accomplish. And that almost doesn't make sense. But it can overtake you.
But then the hero steps in a helps you see! You realize with one visit from a neighbor, one kind word of encouragement, one conversation, a long hug from a neighbor, or an invite to do something... you look down and realize that whatever has started to envelop you is gone because they have no foothold where the Hero is. It can't have you because those little things are so overwhelming powerful. It gives hope and confirmation that you are something right!
Tonight was a long hug...
two long hugs to be exact...
one on each side...
From my neighbor downstair...
