So today was one of those days where you wish someone was capturing the afternoon with a video camera and tons of pictures. Unfortunately, everyone who was there was quite unavailable for that job considering that all 21 of us were playing mud football and ultimate Frisbee in nasty wet muddy ground. It was one of the best days of "just being" (if that makes sense) that i have had in Ruston in a long while. Then after we played for a riduculous 3 hours, most of us drove over to my parents house, hose down, and jump in a extremely cold swimming pool...yeah in january! Even after hanging out with these people all afternoon, we all went to clean up because we were all getting BACK together to hang out at 8. I love college, and I love these people.
I thought about today though. I thought about how I was so incredibly disgusting and dirty because i choose to be. Then when we all jump in that pool... you couldn't even tell except for how wet we were. We take about water today. How water cleanses you. How Gd cleanses you. Today was a day that physically showed me what God is wanting and IS DOING to my life right now. That water was soooo cool and extremely unpleasant to the point of pain. I am just thankful that it won't always be that hard. That one day i will get out of the water, and it will just be fresh, new, and warm.
